The Big Brothers- Big Sisters, 2016 Bowl for Kids Sake in Glasgow will be held in March this year at Ralphies. They are in need of sponsorships for this event. Please contact for William Lees at William@bbbsky.com  for more information. The theme this year is Star Wars.

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association is actively seeking interested individuals to become high school softball official in the surrounding area. To be part of the action, any individual who is a high school graduate or 18 years of age or older is encouraged to contact Mark Woodcock at 646-8994.

Caverna High School Advisory Council will meet tonight at 5PM in the high school library.

There will be a Drivers’ Education Class for ages 16 and above on Thursdays and Mondays, February 4, 11, 22, 25, March 3, 7, 17, 21, 24, 31 from 3:30PM to 6:30PM at Barren County High School. Class includes 30 hours of class time and 6 hours of individual drive time in our specially equipped car. The class will include: some lecture, various speakers, videos and other activities designed to make the youth a safer driver. Glenn Flanders, Instructor. Cost: $175. Need a hot meal? South Fork Baptist Church will be hosting a Community Soup Kitchen on Saturday, February 6th, from 11am to 1pm for anyone in the community that needs a hot meal. Lunch is free and will be served by members of the church. South Fork Baptist Church is located at 1932 South Fork Road, Glasgow.

Come to Cupid’s Café, located at Wisdom Faith Christian Academy in Knob Lick on Saturday, February 6 from 5 to 8pm   Menu consists of Lasagna or Spaghetti, Salad Bar, Homemade Desserts, Bread and a Drink.  Donations are appreciated and carryout will be available.  For more information call 270-432-7338.

Used romance paperbacks will be 50 cents each or 3 for $1.00. Proceeds are for the STEM programs at the library.

Confederate General John Hunt Morgan Exhibit “The Horse Soldier” will be on display at the Cave Center Convention Center through March 30. This free exhibit tells the story of the Horse Soldier during the Civil War and highlights items used by the confederate cavalrymen, particularly those of Morgan and his fellow soldiers.

The Community Soup Kitchen is open on Monday, Thursday and Friday from 11:30AM to 1PM.

The Glasgow Shrine Club is accepting names of Kosair Kids® for their 2016 Reach Out for Kosair Kids® quilt. If you have, or are a Kosair Kid®, whose name has not been on one of the previous four quilts, please call Freda at 270-590-9228.

The BCHS Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring the send off performance for the Barren County High School and Bowling Green High School Cheerleaders today at 2PM. The cheerleaders will perform the routines they will be competing with at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Competition in Orlando, Florida on February 6-7.
