Notification Center on the iPhone has always been a playground for some jailbreakers. This time around, a new jailbreak tweak has emerged called NCapps that allows users to launch any app on their iPhone from the Notification Center. This tweak gives additional functionality to the Notification Center, enabling you to do and see more than just notifications. Let’s see what more does NCapps has to offer.

New Jailbreak Tweak Allows You To Launch And Play Around Any App In Your Notification Center

Notification Center on the iPhone is generally seen as a hub for notifications and widgets. However, jailbreakers have seen fit to add additional features in it to expand utility. Firstly, you have the option available to add an additional tab to the right of the Notifications tab. This tab will showcase a grid of apps that you have installed on your iOS device.

Once you tap the app icon in the Notification Center, it will actually launch the app from within the Notification Center. A full-fledged version of the app will open but on a slightly smaller scale. This suggests that you can open any app from the Notification Center without swiping out of it. Moreover, there are no limitations or restrictions imposed on the operation and working of the app. So you can interact with the app the same way as you would do on the full screen version of the app.

We mean it when we said that the app will be a full-fledged version. This is because NCapps provides access to the app’s internal buttons and gesture controls. This means that you can literally use any app on your iPhone’s Notification Center with ease. Once you’re done playing around the app, simply close it via the red ‘X’ button displayed on the top right hand side of the app. Once you do that, you’re brought back to the grid of apps from where you can access other apps in the Notification Center.

The best part about the app is that when you swipe up and close the Notification Center when an app is running, it is saved to the device’s memory. So the next time you swipe down the Notification Center, your app would continue from where you left off. This is a really convenient way to quickly access or shift between two apps on your iPhone. As can be seen, NCapps is really great for multitasking.

The only drawback at this time is that NCapps is not compatible with iPads, but it will definitely run on iPhone and iPod Touch running iOS 9 or above. You can pick up NCapps for $0.99 from Cydia’s BigBoss repository.
