CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Sunday, June 5th, the Levine Jewish Community Center will hold the 5th Annual Levine JCC Kids Triathlon.

The event will be from 2-4 p.m., with checkout at 1 p.m. and followed by post-race activities. Over 600 community supporters of all ages, including representatives from the Levine JCC, Levine Children’s Hospital, and the Adaptive Sports and Adventures Program (ASAP) will be participating in the event designed to create awareness and raise funds for the Children’s Hospital and ASAP.

The ASAP themselves help adults and children with physical disabilities develop skills that help lead an active lifestyle. The triathlon was awarded a $20,000 grant from the Leon Levine Foundation after meeting the goal of raising $70,000 by June 5th.

With numerous sponsors, including the Charlotte Nights, the event is sure to blast. Even former Panther’s wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad will be in attendance, cheering on participants along with signing autographs and taking photos with the lucky kids who manage to raise over $500.
