PASSAIC, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — An AMBER Alert was canceled after a a man was found with the 1-year-old son he allegedly kidnapped at a bus stop in Passaic, N.J.

Tomas A. Quiles, 19, was found with his son, Tyrus Quiles, at an address on McBride Avenue in Paterson, N.J. Tyrus was reported to be safe.

Tomas Quiles had last been seen traveling on foot earlier Monday afternoon with his after the incident at the bus stop at 33 Passaic St. in Passaic, authorities said.

Tomas Quiles sent a text message threatening suicide, authorities said. He has a restraining order against him.

Information about any possible charges against Tomas Quiles was not immediately available.
