HAWAII (WAVY) — The Menchville High School marching band participated in the 75th Anniversary Mass Band Event at the USS Battleship Missouri Memorial in Hawaii Wednesday.
47 members of Menchville’s band were among the more than 1,000 student musicians making music at the ceremony to honor some of the nation’s greatest heroes who fought during Pearl Harbor and in World War II.

Michelle Price with Newport News Public Schools says students did several fundraising projects to pay for the trip.
