In a Facebook post Wednesday, Newport News Police Chief Myers listed 11 different ways the department works to preserve integrity.
Some of the efforts include using body cameras, the establishment of an ethics committee, de-escalation training and use of force training for all officers and community engagement events, such as “Coffee with a Cop.”
