NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The American Red Cross says it received about 50,000 fewer blood and platelet donations than usual this past November and December. They are hoping this month will be better.
January is National Blood Donor Month. The agency is appealing to the public to make an appointment to roll up their sleeves to help save lives. According to The Red Cross, every two seconds a patient in the U.S. needs blood.
