NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The people have voted. They picked Colley Avenue in Ghent as the “People’s Choice” for one of the Great Places in America in 2015.
The American Planning Association asked voters to choose their favorite All American neighborhood. There were five finalists that included the Norfolk neighborhood.
Colley Avenue is the main street that runs through the historic Ghent neighborhood. It is full of local shops and bars. It also includes the historic NARO theater which plays current and classic movies throughout the year.
