VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Police have identified the two men officers say robbed an employee at First Landing State Park last month.

The robbery occurred May 28 around 7:20 a.m. at the entrance to the 64th Street entrance. One suspect showed something that looked like a handgun and demanded money from the employee.

He got into a vehicle driven by another suspect and the pair fled the scene.

Officers arrested the two suspects Monday. Michael Christopher Lay 27, of Virginia Beach and Christopher Ross, 39, of Anderson, S.C. were both charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Both were being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center.
