10:54 AM - Conference Call begins at 11:00 AM

10:55 AM - Severe Thunderstorm WATCH has been issued for central Indiana until 4:00 PM. This WATCH includes Lawrence, Jackson & Jennings Cos. in the WAVE 3 News viewing area.

10:59 AM - Conference call begins in one minute. Call will be led by NWS Meteorologist In Charge, John Gordon.

11:01 AM - Call was moved up three hours... due to storms in northern Indiana.

11:03 AM - Theme hasn't changed, but timing is more in focus.

11:04 AM - Widespread wind damage and flash flooding main concern, high confidence forecast, have a severe plan.

11:04 AM - SPC risk moved west, but feel it will be moved back east.  First wave of storms early this afternoon... then another round later tonight (likely after 10PM).

11:05 AM - Local NWS working under the premise that we're under moderate risk.  Strong upper level winds will be brought down to surface.

11:06 AM - Everyone will get rain!  With saturated ground - flooding will be a big threat.

11:07 AM - Wind will be quick... rain will linger.

11:07 AM - Timing of storms - Noon to 2PM southern Indiana and north central KY | 2 to 6PM central & southern KY.

11:08 AM - Second round will develop later tonight near Indianapolis and dive south overnight (Midnight to 6AM).  Flash Flood warnings will likely be issued.

11:09 AM - Instability is maxed out today and tomorrow.

11:10 AM - Winds will be enhanced tonight & tomorrow.  There will be 70 to 80 MPH winds.  Similar to derecho of July 13th, 2004.  Wind & flooding.

11:11 AM - Threat will exist again tomorrow - how far north will depend on overnight storms.

11:11 AM - Flash Flooding is a given!

11:11 AM - Three rounds of storms (this afternoon, overnight & Tuesday afternoon)

11:12 AM - Mobile homes & campers are not a safe place for non-anchored structures.

11:12 AM - Questions are now coming in

11:13 AM - Can we expect areas to see flooding like Sunday Morning? There will be places... locating those places will be impossible this far in advance.  For Louisville rainfall rates 3 to 4 inches per hour will be possible.  The storms will train across the same area and flash flooding is possible.

11:14 AM - SPC shifting wind threat west, thoughts on placement for highest winds?  The new NAM just coming in shows another line of storms developing north near Indy this evening will move through overnight.  The whole area is under the gun.  Would be surprised to see the moderate moved back east.

11:15 AM - Timing storms for Louisville - 1PM today for the first round of storms.  11PM today for the second round, 1 to 7PM Tuesday for the third round.  Don't focus on the timing, but in general - as things evolve.

11:16 AM - There may be a conference call tomorrow... depending on staffing and surveys that need to be complete.  Let's see what happens overnight.  70% chance for another call tomorrow.

11:18 AM - LG&E asking about timing of most severe winds.  Around 1:45PM to 3:30PM will be first round of wind 60-70 MPH winds.  Another strong push Midnight to 4AM with tremendous rainfall and high winds as well.

11:19 AM - Jefferson County EM requesting a call later this evening.

11:22 AM - Most places across the area by tomorrow night will be looking at 2 to 4 inches of rain.

11:25 AM - Most concerning - three distinct events.  2nd round looks like it could be the worst.  Hot & muggy after tomorrow - meaning if there are power outages it will be miserable.

11:33 AM - The conference call has ended.

11:34 AM - Stay with the WAVE 3 News Storm Tracking Team and close to our social media for frequent updates throughout the afternoon, evening & overnight hours!
