Job Description:

The Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) is a national, bilingual, not-for-profit, membership organization dedicated to the promotion of Canada's international relations through international education.

For the last three years CBIE has been managing the Libyan-North American Scholarship Program - a joint collaboration between Libya's Ministry of Education and Scientific Research (as Sponsor), CBIE, and approximately 2500 Libyan students and host universities in Canada and the United States.

CBIE is currently seeking a Consultant to function as a Liaison Officer (based out of Tripoli, Libya) between CBIE and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Liaison Officer will be responsible for continuous follow up on a number of areas of the scholarship program including clarification and status updates on Ministry decrees, communicating effectively with the scholarship department on pending issues and leading orientation sessions for new scholarship students prior to their departure.
