KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Fall is almost here in East Tennessee. There are many things to do to celebrate including attending concerts, watching car races and shopping for unique crafts.

Friday

Officer Kenny Moats Benefit Concert

Country superstar Trace Adkins and Knoxville concert venue The Back Porch on the Creek will be hosting the event in Knoxville. Also, they are donating $10,000 to the family of Officer Kenny Moats, the Maryville police officer killed last week in the line of duty.

Also, Back Porch on the Creek is donating $1 of each ticket sold to the local Fraternal Order of Police.

Any law enforcement officer who shows his badge at the gate can get free admission to the concert. General admission tickets have been reduced to $25 and will be available at Knoxville Harley Davidson.

Downtown Sevierville Farmers Market

The event will be at the Bruce Street Gazebo from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Shoppers can buy producer and crafts from 35 vendors. Items for sale include bread, soaps, dolls, law ornaments, pottery, vegetables and more.

Saturday

“Rock the Smokies”

The festival will feature Grammy-nominated group Newsboys and Grammy award winner For King and Country. Also, I Am They, Stars Go Dim, We Are Messengers, 7Eventh Time Down and Bob Smiley will perform.

The concert will be at Dollywood’s Celebrity Theater. There are three show times: 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Attendees can receive admission into Dollywood by purchasing a concert ticket. Tickets are $65 for adults and $50 for children. Ticket prices will increase on the day of the event. Tickets may be purchased online or at the event.

Lakeway Latin Food Festival

The Hispanic Outreach Leadership Association of the Lakeway Area will be hosting the event in Morristown. There will be Latin American food representing many countries. Attendees can play games, listen to music and more.

The event will be at the Rose Center at 442 W 2nd N Street from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thunder in the Park

The event in Maynardville will have music, food, fireworks, activities and more. Attendees can view hot-rods and see the community show their red, white and blue. The event starts at 5 p.m. in Wilson Park.

Sunday

Hal Canfield Memorial MileFest

The event raises money for the Hal Canfield Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund. Prices for all runners will be $25 on race day.

The race is on Cherokee Boulevard. It will start and finish near the middle parking lot. There will be 7 races: Masters/Grandmasters male and female, Open/Elite male and female, youth, boys and girls, and the Community Mile. Pets and strollers are allowed during the Community Mile, which is not timed and is open to the public.

The first race begins at 8 a.m. Awards start at 9:20 a.m. Runners can park in the lot or the nearby field.

Buddy Roger’s Memorial

Attendees can watch Super Late Model drivers compete for $4,400 at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell. The event is in honor of Tazewell Speedway Hall of Famer Buddy Rogers. Also, there will be other races and fireworks.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 and admission is free for children 9-years-old and younger. Pit admission is $35.
