Shields won gold at middleweight in both London and Rio.
Claressa Shields has been more or less unstoppable in the last five years, earning a pair of Olympic gold medals before winning her professional debut in November. Her momentum shows no signs of stopping, as she is set to become the first woman to headline a boxing card on a premium cable network this coming March. She will face former title challenger Szilvia Szabados in a six-round ShoBox main event.
Szabados (15-8, 6 KO) has crammed her 23-fight career into just three years. She faced reigning WBC Middleweight Champion Nikki Adler in 2015, losing a wide decision in the latter’s native Germany. Her five losses since have all come to current top-ten fighters from 147 to 160, including Noni Tenge and Mikaela Lauren.
Shields (1-0, 0 KO) will be returning to middleweight after debuting at 168.
