The Miguel Cotto-Delvin Rodriguez HBO doubleheader is still set to come, and you can join us for live discussion for that fight and the Terence Crawford-Andrey Klimov lightweight co-feature. Those fights will be on shortly on HBO. Here's what we saw on the undercard.

Jayson Velez UD-10 Dat Nguyen

Scores were 98-91, 96-93, 96-93. Velez (21-0, 15 KO) suffered a knockdown in round two when his glove hit the canvas, and Nguyen (17-3, 6 KO) gave him a hell of a fight in there. Needless to say, this wasn't another Sal Sanchez II opponent for Velez. Nguyen can actually fight, and made it a good one all the way through. It was more competitive than the scores would lead you to believe,. Nguyen was surprised, which was either acting, or he hasn't been watching boxing much lately.

Jorge Melendez TKO-2 Jamaal Davis

Coming off of a loss to Nick Brinson, Melendez (27-3-1, 26 KO) made quick work of Davis (14-11-1, 6 KO), a 32-year-old Philly club fighter who has now lost three straight.

Felix Verdejo TKO-2 Gary Eyer

The new Next Puerto Rican Superstar, Verdejo improved to 8-0 (6 KO) with an easy and early win over Eyer (11-4-1, 7 KO). Verdejo, 20, is being positioned as a future star by Top Rank. If he actually makes it, he'd be going against the grain for recent PR prospects, pretty much all of whom have flamed out badly.

Also: Moises Carrasquillo Jr UD-4 Steven Chadwick, Ricky Tomlinson D-4 Lamar Charlton.
