The Coral Project, a collaboration between The Washington Post, Knight-Mozilla OpenNews and The New York Times, is looking to fill the first two full-time positions on its core project team: a project lead and a lead developer.

The project lead will guide and manage the development of the project’s flexible, open-source community management software, working with stakeholders from The Washington Post, Knight-Mozilla OpenNews and The New York Times.

The lead developer will direct the project’s team of front- and back-end developers who will construct the software. Both positions will be based in The New York Times’ offices in Manhattan.

Funded by a $3.9 million grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Coral Project is a collaborative effort to improve communities on news sites. You can learn more about the effort at coralproject.net.
