This April, the Beveridge Place Pub is changing things up a little bit. I know some of you will miss IPApril, but time marches on.

Instead of celebrating April by serving up a rotating selection of IPAs, this year the Beveridge Place Pub focuses its attention on the beers of Belgium. The pub is dedicating 12 of its taps to Belgian beers and Belgian-style beers. According to the Bev, “Belgian Beer Month celebrates the amazing diversity that is Belgian Beer. We will rotate through everything from wits to quads to sours from Belgium as well as local breweries that are honoring these styles.”

Within the larger event, one special Belgian-themed event. On April 16, join the pub in welcoming beer importer extraordinaire, Merchand Du Vin. Enjoy beers from great Belgian breweries, like Brouwerij Lindemans, Brasserie du Bocq, and the Trappist monastery breweries of Orval, Rochefort and Westmalle. Order up a taster tray and take home a Belgian beer glass, plus hear about some of the history behind these iconic breweries.

So move over IPApril and say hello to Belgian Beer Month.

Georgetown Brewers Night. Some things just cannot be changed and traditions endure. On April 9th, the pub once again welcomes Georgetown Brewing for a brewers night celebration. The tradition began seven years ago when the Beveridge Place Pub moved into “the new location.” Hang out with the Georgetown crew and enjoy a variety of tasty beers, including Craigalicious Schwarzbier poured from a clear keg! This is always one of the most raucous events of the year.

Catsino. Also falling within the confines of April, another annual event at the Beveridge Place Pub. Catsino (Sunday, April 12) is an afternoon of recreational gaming and silent auctioning. Enjoy a tasty beverage while trying your luck at casino-inspired games like Texas Snip ‘em, Pig Craps, BlackCat 21, Studless Draw, and others. Catsino benefits Furry Faces Foundation and Animal Aid & Rescue Foundation. Purchase tickets at the pub.  For more information, please visit: facebook.com/furryfacesfoundation
