Attacks Change the Site
Find. Select. Click. Delete. And repeat. This is what three accounts on Classic did on the night of June 15. Bangbaby, free.for.all, and soldierboy were three newly made accounts. All made within ten minutes of each other, they all had the same intentions: Delete the text of as many pages as possible. They are copying what has been happening all over the site since it was unlocked for the, Another Species Contest; vandalisms nearly every three days. These group of accounts within the first fifteen minutes of operation had deleted all the pictures and text of around twenty pages. In the twenty minutes they had before they were banned by walrusworldstudios, Admin and Communications Manager, the crooks had vandalized over thirty pages. Thankfully, the vandalism was only deletion of content on the page and vulgarity over the site for twenty minutes, as pages can be reverted to their original content.
Now, what makes this attack different from the others causing the change? It’s the questions it raised. Logically, it would be extremely difficult to created three accounts in ten minutes and then use another ten minutes to delete quite a good chunk of content. Creating the question of, “How many people are involved in the many vandalisms happening and how can we stop them?” The latter part of the statement is the important part of the problem, and after tonight the Staff of Classic has made a bold choice. In the thread created by walrusworldstudios, Concerning the Condition of Classic, he states that, “In light of recent events, I'm locking the site back up again. Last night, I discussed the possibility of locking the site up after the Group Contest is over. However, with all these attacks, I don't think it's safe to leave the site open any longer. Due to this, I'm locking the site up.” The Staff decided it would be best to promote the entered users to Writers temporarily, as the sign up ended today.
All of these attacks, so far, have been minor and have truly done no harm, they have just been very annoying. So what’s the big deal? The deal is that there’s a chance someone who wanted to do real damage could actually hack into an account, such as walrusworldstudio’s, and create chaos on Classic. The possibility, probably 20%. We know that many people on the site are very high tech, and some could have no problem hacking into an account, as stated by Naru2008, though for regular internet users it would be difficult. Which is why he would like to have access to the Wetpaint’s Uber Account. An account made by Wetpaint that can access all Wikis and have complete control over everything. With access to this account Naru2008 could ban a user from all Wetpaint wikis for trolling, which isn’t allowed according to Wetpaint’s Terms of Services. Making the safe ultimately safe. Another problem then is getting access to it.
So in summary, the attacker(s) may have finally been stumped for a while by locking the site up again and all the pages have been restored to their original content. Making the day end with happiness.

Gabbly Chatrooms
1. As of late March, Gabbly widgets have redirected users from their page to a site that tries to load a virus onto your computer. This is due to Gabby's domain name expiring, and having it's visitors to random sites. If you have a Gabbly chat widget on a page on your wiki, you and your members will be better off by removing the widget. To prevent yourself from being redirected while trying to remove it, load the page, and once it loads enough for the EasyEdit button to be seen, hit the 'X' in your browser then edit the page and remove it. If you have one on your profile, do as I stated above.
If you have a Gabbly chatroom on your site or your profile, and are having problems with removing it, message me and I will work with you to get rid of it.
--1. If you believe you have a virus from the site, or you know someone who has been redirected, and they think they have a virus, please have them join if they are not already a member, and message me, and I will work with them. I will also work with you if you also believe you have been infected.
2. Some users have been reporting on multiple wikis that Wetpaint's Wiki Platform is slowing down for them. I have not experienced as many slow instances as them, but I do encounter it once or twice a week, if not three. If you guys are experiencing any issues, do the following:
--1. Either you or your parents should unplug your modem for a minute or two and then plug it back in for a fresh signal, and see if it clears up your issue. If not, proceed to step two.
--2. Use Ctrl+Alt+Delete and pull up Task Manager. Make sure no program is hogging your computer's CPU. If your CPU is between 50-100, you need to end some processes. If you're unsure of what to end (because some of the processes are critical system ones, and ending one can cause issues), message me with a list of processes on your computer. If you know which ones you can safely end, feel free to do so. If doing so doesn't help, move on to step three.
--3. If you're reading this, then the other two steps must not have worked. The only thing left is to clean up your computer. Junk files and other issues like viruses and such can also slow down your computer. You have to be careful of what you get rid of. If you're on this step, message me and I will work with you to clean your computer of any junk files you don't need.

Contact With Wetpaint
I emailed Wetpaint's CEO (Chief Executive Officer), Ben Elowitz close to a month ago, asking for him to reply. Sadly, he was in London, but replied on June 5th, and he apologized for not replying sooner. He then directed me to Rob Grady - COO (Chief Operating Officer), who was put in charge of the Wiki Platform. I have emailed Rob, and I am currently awaiting a reply. We have one problem though; His experience and knowledge of the Wiki Platform is very limited, and he most likely doesn't know a single thing about us, except that we exist. Most developers that worked on the Wiki Platform have been laid off since they started layoffs back in 2009, up to Product and Support Manager, Jeremy Clemans. As far as I am aware, no developers that worked on it at some times are still working for Wetpaint. I will be working with him to work out a deal and hopefully get the platform back the way it was before. I will edit this with replies and updates I am given. I am hoping I can get Rob to restore the platform to it's former glory. :-)

MeteorShower nodded as the group of MarshClan's cat's appeared. All of them glared at the following cat's in the other patrol. Rosepaw stayed by the old leader's side as a black tom came up to MeteorShower.
"I thought I smelled something funny along the borders," the black tom hissed. "But it is just you and your lovely clanmates, Boots."
The warrior shakes his head. "I thought I told you that it's now MeteorShower, Thrushcloud. I do not call you by your old name so I wish for you to call me by my the name my clanmates call me."
Old name? Rosepaw thought as she saw two of the MarshClan cats pointing their tail's at Blizzardstar as Thrushclaw hissed angry at MeteorShower. One member from his patrol snicker as she scented the air. "Why bring a cat that's about to die? Why not just killed the weak leader and bring in a new stronger leader?"
Before Rosepaw can speak, but to her surprise Blizzardstar put his tail around her shoulder and she closed her mouth as he begin to speak. "You, young cat, needs to learn how to respect your Elder's. You do not simpliy kill a cat if it shows any weakness, for you might not know that the same cat can kill you later on."
The silver tabby she-cat hissed and meowed. "Marshclan never had Elder's so we never cared how to respect them! Besides, only the strong will survived in this clan. Every cat fends off themselves, meaning if you have wounds you treat them, not some mouse-brained medicine cat who said they have dreams from make believe cat's."
Rosepaw shakes her head. "That's wrong a clan shouldn't think that way! What you are doing is against the Warrior Code! Surely, you know that. Besides, everybody-."
She shrieked as the black tom jumped on her and pinned her down. His claws digging into her throat as he turned and speak to Blizzardstar.
"Don't you teach your apprentices to stop talking when they need to? Apparentices must fight, be seen, but not talk in front of the warriors." Then he look down her. "All apprentices must follow that law in our clan and we will make sure that others will follow. We will bring a new code in the Warrior Code. Our world will be far greater than this, for it'll have stronger warriors then weak warriors." The black tom then bent down an whispered in her ears. "Do you want me to show you when the apprentices in our clan disobey that law?"
Her eyes went wide as she heard that. Before this tom was about to strike the kill blow. Rosepaw yelled. "MeteorShower!" and at the same time as MorningGlow yelled "Blizzardstar!"
Thrushclaw let go of her when she called his name in a panic, she soon realized that a full out ranged battle happen when she picked herself from the ground and look around. Where was he? She asked as she look for her mentor and spotted him in a battle with a white tom. Her eyes wided as she realized it wasn't him. Please, please don't let it be Blizzardstar! she meowed to herself as she look for her leader.
She saw him battling with Thrushclaw and raced over to help him. Her leader was old and fragil, he won't be able to win! Jumping on top of Thrushclaw, she ranked her claws down his side. "Fight me instead of Blizzardstar!" she meowed as she raced in front of him and blocked a move that he was aiming for her leader. Her face stings, but she did not care for the scar that is now across her cheek. "Or are you too scared to fight me heads on, instead of that surprised attack?"
