INTERROLL Ltd announced its relocation to new, larger and more modern premises with an Open Day on the 6th September 2013 that was attended by some 70+ customers eager to tour the new Kettering facilities and see the latest developments and products on show. The new facilities offer increased accommodation and additional space to expand its dedicated motorised drum service department and showrooms, displaying the latest in materials handling and dynamic storage technology.
Managing Director Chris Middleton reported, “This strategic move bolsters our market position in the UK, as there is a continuous and increasing demand for Interroll’s technical expertise and innovative component range, modules, subsystems and dynamic storage equipment that provide material handling solutions across a broad spectrum of industrial sectors.
We look not only to supply Interroll components and equipment, but are fully aware of our commitment and responsibility to provide support and after sales service to meet the needs of the UK market. If we want to continue to be recognised as the UK leading company in this sector, we need to be sure our customers can count on us day and night, for solutions beyond the call of duty in terms of quality of products and service.
This is particularly synonymous with Interroll and its diverse, high quality range of maintenance-free, reliable drum motors that are designed to tackle even the most difficult applications in materials handling. Should ever motor failure occur on conveyor systems this could result in expensive downtime and therefore, our new facility has a dedicated service department with repair workshop and comprehensive stocks of spares in order for us to support our customers 24/7 throughout the UK.
This reduces the need for customers to hold expensive stocks of spare parts whilst ensuring that they maintain constant and efficient internal productivity levels.
Continuous Development & Growth
An important element of Interroll’s Group strategy is its commitment to developing and then refining intelligent products that allow our customers to save space and energy and delivers a fast return on investment. They concentrate resources on key products and look for continuous development of new products and opportunities.
Within the last twelve months the company has launched several innovative products to support Dynamic Storage Systems, a new Cross Belt Sorter and energy efficient motorised drive solutions and controls.
Also, following the Groups acquisition of the Portec Group – the leading manufacturer of belt curves in the USA, this gives us reason to look optimistically towards the future. The product portfolio of Portec is an excellent complement to our existing range of solutions with its technological expertise on belt curves for medium and heavy duties.
As we gear up to introduce this new range into Interroll UK later this year, it will expand our capabilities in servicing new and existing handling and airport business and winning market share.
This is a new chapter and offers a bright future for Interroll within the UK.
