DUBBO: Dubbo is set to play a remarkable role in a plan to ensure the survival of the rhino. After almost three years of work, a plan by The Australian Rhino Project founder Ray Dearlove to transfer 80 rhinos to Australia from South Africa is getting closer to fruition.

MUDGEE: Mudgee s Wings Wheels and Wine Airshow once again displayed everything a vehicle can do, whether on the ground or in the sky, from fighting fires to transporting patients to hospital.

LITHGOW: Lithgow paramedics and a CareFlight doctor combined to assist a cyclist seriously injured in an accident at South Bowenfels.

TRANGIE: Anzac Day 2016 was celebrated with whole community involvement again this year.

BATHURST: From horses to high fashion, it was all happening at Tyers Park on April 25 when the Soldier’s Saddle got underway.

CANOWINDRA: Riding the momentum of a round one victory, the Canowindra Pythons slumped to a second up 67-5 loss against the Blayney Rams.

COWRA: While the Central Tablelands Livestock Exchange may have seen an increase in the numbers of livestock being sold the Cowra Salesyards have also seen a small increase in numbers but primarily a drop in quality.

BLAYNEY: Millthorpe Public School leaders Ethan Wilson, Tayla Hildenbeutel, Ella Truloff and Fergus Connick carry the wreaths to place at the Millthorpe and District Roll of Honour at Redmond Oval.

GRENFELL: The Grenfell Picnic Race Club’s 2016 race day was an outstanding event thoroughly enjoyed by the massive crowd in attendance.

FORBES: Last year Binaal Billa, in partnership with Yoorana Gunya, put on the first Ochre Ribbon event in Forbes – it was such a success they want to continue it on an annual basis.
