Speciality running store Fleet Feet presented Turnstone Center with a check for $2,500. The award is part of the competitive national Fleet Feet Partner FITlanthropy grant program and was announced at their annual conference in July.

“Our staff at Fleet Feet Sports feels so fortunate to have had the privilege of participating in Team Turnstone,” Kevin Croy, owner of Fleet Feet Sports said. “As a participant, we saw firsthand that there is literally no limitation to what a person can accomplish once they put their mind to it.”

Fleet Feet is in its second year of partnering with Turnstone to help children and adults with disabilities to prepare to walk, run or roll in the Fort4Fitness fall Senior Marathon, 4-mile, 10K, and half-marathon races. Fleet Feet staff participates in the bi-weekly training sessions to encourage Turnstone clients throughout the training process.

“Turnstone is honored to be the recipient of the grant from Fleet Feet and proud to work with our local Fleet Feet store to help our clients train for the Fort4Fitness races,” said Mike Mushett, CEO of Turnstone. “The continued race training and financial support is more than Turnstone and our clients could ever ask for.”
