Vienna has some of the most beautiful architecture in the world. Luckily I made it there just in time, before it gets so cold you have to bury your face into your coat whilst walking outside - looking up and soaking in the gorgeous surroundings is a wonderful feeling in this city.
After strolling around, we visited the Miró exhibition at The Albertina. My sister and I went to the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona years ago when we were young, so it was quite nice to go to an exhibition as fully grown human beings! His work is can probably be a little bit marmite, but I for one really enjoy it. There is something honest and expressive about his art that I relate to, and it's very interesting to see how it evolved from his earlier years as well.
How great are those stairs?! There are so many incredible museums in Vienna, and the Albertina holds its own. They have a Monet/Picasso Exhibition on too, as well as their original collection. Located right in the centre of town, it's not one to miss on a Viennese visit.
Afterwards, we had a peek into some shop windows (pretty much everything is closed on Sundays in Austria), took some inevitable selfies to commemorate our sister-time and headed home for a light dinner after our pizzas and desserts.
Great day all round!
