I was given a Cricut Explore Air 2 for purposes of this review from my friends at Cricut, a company I adore and trust.  As always ALL opinions are 100% my own.

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen that I am the proud new owner of a beautiful mint green Cricut Explore Air 2.  It’s not only gorgeous, but super versatile.  It’s also not my first time owning a Cricut machine.  I started a few years ago with their Cricut Mini, graduated to a Cricut Explore, and now have the Explore Air 2!

Meet Cricut Explore Air 2

Cut and write up to 2 times faster than previous Cricut Explore models with this DIY speed machine. Cricut Explore Air 2 cuts over 100 materials – everything from cardstock, vinyl, and iron-on to thicker materials like leather, yes, LEATHER.

Quickly.

Beautifully.

From cards to custom t-shirts to home décor, Cricut helps you create DIY projects in minutes.

Design on the go on your favorite laptop, iPad or iPhone.

This new style comes in four gorgeous colors, mint {my favorite}, soft pink, baby blue, and a cream/gold design.  The Explore Air 2 is A LOT like my Cricut Explore with a few awesome updates.  The bluetooth technology {that required an adaptor on my original machine} is now built right into the machine itself, ready to go!  It also has a new “Fast Mode” for cutting.  Imagine the precise, efficient cutting of the Explore but EVEN FASTER {and FOR REAL, just as precise}!

So…who needs a Cricut?!

Moms

Moms, how many of you have searched on Etsy for adorable, handmade party decor for your little one’s?  Yes, someone else making decorations, and invitations, and party favors is sometimes easier.  It’s probably not ever cheaper though.  What if I told you that YOU could make your entire birthday party on your own with your Cricut Explore Air 2? Just take a look at all these cute decorations and designs I made for my little guy’s Monster Birthday party…

Teachers

Homeschoolers and teachers unite!  Get a Cricut Explore Air 2 and your life will be easier.

Need cute letters for your next bulletin board or door decor?  Check.

Need to make multiple Valentine cards for your students {lettering and cute cut out shape design}? Check.

Have to organize your student data files or weekly curriculum assignments? EASY.  Done.

I used Cricut’s amazing printable sticker paper to create labels for my curriculum crate.  Instead of printing on the paper, I just used the writing tool with my handy Cricut medium tip pen.  Write, cut, peel, and stick!  It was so easy and made my files look so much neater.

Handy Husbands {yes, seriously}

For real.

My husband is one of the most creative people I know.  Not only is he currently working on starting an amazing handmade furniture business, but he also made our kids and I each a wooden pallet art hanging for Christmas last year.  He totally hijacked my {then} Cricut Explore to help him create everything which included super awesome Star Wars inspired art for our kids and a beautiful wall quote for me.

It was something I had seen a favorite shop in our little town, and he totally made it his own for a FRACTION of the cost!  Plus, the fact that he made it for me, makes it so much more special.

Crafters

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE to DIY our Halloween costumes each year.  Granted some of them are store bought, but there are a few aspects that are handmade and a few other details that are Cricut made!  Since these are this year’s costumes, I got to use my Explore Air 2 to add our finishing details.  I got the idea for our family Ghostbusters costumes after reading my friend, Artsy Fartsy Mama’s blog post on her Stay Puft Marshmallow Girl costume.  Seriously…how cute is she?!  I used my Explore Air 2 to make the white trim around the collar and the STAY PUFT lettering on her hat and belt.  Iron-On vinyl is seriously my favorite!

I also found a Ghostbusters image online and used some white and red vinyl to create easy DIY trick or treat buckets.  Truth? They actually had a Batman logo already painted onto them.  Solution? I cut a black circle first to cover the logo, then put my new Ghostbusters logo on top.  Easy and inexpensive.

DIY’ers

Need a quick Easter or Halloween treat bucket?  Don’t want to buy a cheap plastic one at the store?  Cricut Explore Air 2 to the rescue!  Fine a cute metal container, choose from Cricut’s amazing selection of colored vinyl, and create a one of a kind bucket to celebrate the day!  Add some ribbon and you’re all set!

Head to Cricut’s SHOP for all of your Cricut Explore Air 2 needs this holiday season!

Seriously.  There are tons of people in your life, including YOU that could benefit from adding a Cricut Explore Air 2 to their wish lists this year.  Had I not already gotten one, you can bet it would have been at the top of mine.  Instead I can add lots of great accessories and mediums to play with from their online shop!
