As a blogger, Shimmian Manila is a new name for me. I though that they were just an ordinary Spa or Wellness Center which renders the usual services like facials and acne-removal. But upon being invited to the opening of their new branch in SM South Mall I was proven wrong. I first had the opportunity to try their Relaxing Facial and then had a session of Diamond Peel in their Tomas Morato Branch .

The facial, first involved cleansing and a scrub which helped soften my dead skin as well as remove dirt caused by everyday pollution. I felt relaxed because the attendant wasn’t hasty and took time on cleaning my face, right after I was endorsed to the treatment area where Ms. Joyce initiated the Diamond Peel by checking my skin condition. She was very thorough on explaining what is Diamond Peel and how it will help my skin to be blemish free and the most vibrant ever. It was the micro-abrasion machine that has diamond bits on its probe that removes dead skin tissues on every session. She told me that to experience the most desirable effects, I had to have it done at least every two weeks. The peel though is not advisable if a person has breaks on the facial skin, and by breaks I meant: open wound, acne and the like. I had one erupted pimple that time and is very much guilty of scratching it, so Ms Joyce didn’t hover the probe on that area of my skin but instead she put on prophylactic topical antibiotic cream over it to make sure it will not get infected. After having the Diamond Peel done I felt relaxed and my skin felt supple even only one session I can see and feel the positive effects. I was educated though that I have to avoid water on my skin for at least six hours and then Ms. Joyce applied some Sun block on my face to avoid burns since technically the first layer of my skin was peeled off. After having this done I took the liberty of roaming around their Tomas Morato branch and was very much pleased with the interiors, the people and as a whole their service.
