Closing arguments are expected to begin Tuesday, Dec. 2 in the trial of a man accused of shooting his girlfriend to death on Mother's Day 2013. Carlos Thomas, 38, of Baton Rouge is charged with second-degree murder of the shooting death of Amanda McCullough, 31, also of Baton Rouge.
