Hi Everyone! I'm starting out the year with my nails back to shorties and loving the length. For my first manicure I decided to stick with the winter theme and enjoy another snowflake manicure while I can still get away with it. Can a girl ever have too many snowflakes manicures? Just like the real thing, no two are the same...

For this manicure I used a white base of Wet 'n Wild French White Creme. I topped that off with an El Corazon Art Top Coat № 421. My camera refused to capture the subtle shimmer of that top coat, but you can see more of the effect in the last few photos of this post...

I stamped the snowflakes from plate QA58 which I received for review from the Born Pretty Store. There are so many different snowflakes on this plate, I just can't get enough of it. For the stamping polish, I used the beautiful Kaleidoscope № f-02, a blue 'mirror' foil shade which works perfectly for stamping...

The soft blue against the white makes this look almost porcelain and so delicate...

The stamping plate, QA58, used in this manicure is from the Born Pretty Store. The plate features a variety of snowflake patterns which is just perfect this time of year. This hexagonal plate is just slightly larger than the standard plate size and measures 5.9cm in diameter (edge to edge).

The plate comes with a protective blue film on both sides of the plate. The front side must be peeled off prior to use while the film on the back can remain in place. This is the first time I'm seeing a blue film on the back of the plate, but I think it is a great alternative to bare metal plates and helps to ease the edge sharpness...

The plate itself is very well etched and I had no problems stamping the images. I'm quite pleased with the quality and I will certainly be going back for more plates from the QA series...

Just a quick look at the El Corazon Art Top Coat № 421. It is a clear top coat with a fine purple to golden green shimmer. It is absolutely beautiful and can be used to add just a touch of sparkle to any manicure. The shimmer quickly settles to the bottom of the bottle and needs a good shake before using...

Although more visible in reality, the purple shimmer is very difficult to capture in photos. This was the best out of way too many photos and still does not do this top coat justice...

I apologize for the poor lighting, but the shimmer was easier to capture when blocking out some of the direct light from my lamps. As you can see, the top coat adds just a bit of sparkle, although this sparkle is purple in reality and not white as it appears here...

I'd love to know what you think of this!

Thanks for looking!
