|Remake of the first DQ Monsters game on Game Boy. Now uses gameplay akin to the Joker games (day/night cycle, visible monsters instead of random battles, DQ8 style skill trees, etc.) with some added features, like an extra monster slot which allows for up to 4 on 4 battles (as some take up 2 or 3 slots). BUT! There's still Meat and other GBC elements as well, too. Dungeons are randomly generated, like the original, but with more depth, having structures to climb, explore, etc. Has 500 monsters to collect and breed (even every monster from Joker 2 Pro), lots of side quests, and some great online features. Currently Japan only, but here's hoping for a western release.
'''''Note: Currently Japan only, so you'll need to be either a weeaboo, richfag or DQ fanboi in order to play it.'''''

|Arguably the sleeper hit of the 3DS launch. It's similar to X-COM (Julian Gollop worked on both of these) but with modern war and other neat gameplay elements. Might be a bit weird to fans of the GR series proper, but even as a spinoff, it's solid enough for anyone to enjoy. The average playtime is about 40 hours, and that's only with the main story. There's also a heapin' helpin' of extra missions to play as well.

|[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CygXZCWINF4 Mario Kart is back and in 60 FPS!] New to MK are hang-gliders during big air and you can also drive underwater with little sub-propellers (which kind of suck because it slows the pace of the game down). Courses and characters new and old are featured (along with your Mii). Vehicle Customization lets you change body, tires, and accessory, each affecting your kart. Multiplayer can be local or wi-fi. Along with ghost races, you can also use your spot/street pass modes to register other people and build a "community" of them along with any registered friends who have it. Easily worth getting, even for MK beginners This game will be challenging for those who aren't familiar with Mario Kart.

|This version of the MGS classic is a little hit and miss. As the game is available for the same price in HD bundled with 2 other MGS games it's up to the player which version to get. This version offers a few gameplay tweaks but is notably scaled down to work on the portable. It adds a few new features like the EXTREMELY helpful crouch walking and photo camo. The 3D is great and adds very useful depth to the jungle environment. That being said the game suffers from harsh framerate drops in cutscenes and the controls take a little getting used to. It's up to you whether you want the game in HD or in 3D and portable, but if the 3DS is your only option the game is fantastic and is highly recommended regardless.

|Spiritual successor to the NanoStray series and Iridion II. A shmup in which you take control of a nanobot to cleanse cells and stop a deadly virus to save humanity! It has a variety of stages ranging from rail shooting ala Starfox to piloting on the surface of cells to clear out enemies. The 3D effect is very nice when you see a wall of bullets fly at you from various bosses.

|Quite short, however the game is very fun and makes good use of the 3D effects. The game is REALLY short, around 30 minutes, but going for high scores can be addictive. You may want to wait for the price to go down, borrow it, or rent it.
Although it is a short game it is best enjoyed if you go for all perfect scores on the missions, and then perfect again for a bonus score.

|Same as the Dreamcast version (along with other similar variants), with enhanced graphics and less load times. Got bad reviews for the simple fact that it's an old game without any big changes. Music is compressed rather badly and there are some occasional frame rate issues. This is a fairly direct port rather than a remaster/remake and suffers from the usual related issues for it. There's better options to play Rayman 2, sure (for fuck's sake don't get the DS one), but this is the 3rd easiest to find. It isn't as good of a port as it could be, but it's not bad either.
If you still want portable Rayman, try the demo of Origins or download Rayman on DSiWare.

|The console/PC version and 3DS version are similar in nature, but damn near any levels and bosses on one won't be on the other, and vice-versa (aside from Green Hill). The actual level design is a bit different between them, but this also presents a return to form (even if there aren't as many zones or alternate routes as there could be). However, like the consoles, no level featured in this is the same as the original game's, and more often than not, it's for the best. Also has online head-to-head racing through stages vs. others, something not seen in 2D for a while. It may be weaker overall versus the console/PC version Far superior to the console/pc version in this both sonics are fully thought out, the 3d sonic in console/pc generations feels terrible to play with in comparision to this outing, but it's a pretty nice companion to it.

|A port of the classic PS2 game. The original NA extras on the PS2 version are in all 3DS versions. If you already played it before you know what to expect. Only real changes are the massively improved loading times, always a good thing, and the 3D which unfortunately isn't very good at all. The game will last at least a good 60+ hours and is all in all a very good RPG game. Very limited quantities so the game is quite hard to find. The MC is annoying at first, but the other characters are pretty ace.

|Its Tekken as we all know and love on the little 3D handheld. Over 40 Tekken characters to choose from. Runs at 60fps with 3D on. (Multiplayer 3D is disable by default to keep gameplay smooth). Stages are a little lacking but who cares about the background when you have fast flowing superior limb based combat in your hands. Where it lacks in different modes it makes up for with its collectible cards and online. Worth picking up if you are a fan of Tekken.

|One of the original shmup granddaddies. It was famous for having two planes of action (air and ground), each with enemies simultaneously out to get you. One nice thing about this version is that it has settings to control your rate of fire per button. It's one of those love or hate games, requiring patience, steady hands, and a refined focus to not die constantly. If you're on the fence, go for Twinbee, which is similar and arguably better. If you prefer something older-school and like a challenge and an urge to beat your high-scores, then hop in your Solvalou and get blasting. The 3D effects and planes look great here, and really heighten the experience.

|A short, but sweet game about, well, [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CY_6TLpG_k this.] You play as said pure-hearted samurai and slice some motherfuckers up. The gameplay is a melting pot of classic Nintendo, but most similar to Punch-Out, but also with aspects of Zelda and Mystery of Murasame Castle, plus dashes of a few others. In short, mashing the A button gets you nowhere, as you must dodge and counter instead. There's not a lot of stages or bosses, but enemy thugs come in droves in each area that's not a town, so don't think there's ever a dull moment! There's also [http://sakurasamurai.nintendo.com/ some bonus gameplay modes as well]. A little pricey though, best to get it on a sale.
