The 16th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition is under way and there have already been some exciting announcements.

Today, Automobili Lamborghini has revealed the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce. The Superveloce is the most sports-oriented, fastest and most emotional series model ever produced by Lamborghini, adding another showcase of what Lamborghini stands for as a vehicle manufacturer. The Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce will be built in 600 units only, adding additional allure to an already impressive and interesting model from the Italian car maker as well.

The Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition, which celebrates the long and ongoing collaboration between the Raging Bull and the prestigious Italian tire manufacturer, is also introduced for the first time to China at this year’s Auto Shanghai.

Lamborghini is making a big push on the Asian market, adding different high-performance models for the growing car buying scene over there. The Asian market has seen great increases in sales overall for the recent few years overall. The year 2015 also marks Lamborghini’s 10-year anniversary of entering into the China Market, which remains one of the most important markets for Lamborghini worldwide.

“After the worldwide debut last March at the Salon de l’Automobile in Geneva, today we present here in Asia the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce. This new car represents the perfect combination of Lamborghini’s expertise in lightweight engineering and sophisticated technical features. The new Aventador LP 750-4 is the most exclusive, pure and emotional car in our current model range,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, in a press release.

The new Aventador Superveloce continues the Lamborghini tradition of SV models, pushing the boundaries in terms of performance and pure driving emotion. The weight has been further reduced by 50 kg through enhanced lightweight engineering, including significant use of carbon fiber. The naturally aspirated V12 engine’s power is increased to 552 kW/750 hp. This results in a power-to-weight-ratio of 2.03 kg/hp. The Superveloce accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds and powers on to reach a top speed of more than 350 km/h (more than 217 mph).
