London has become a key space for the virtual reality (VR) community over the past year, with successful Meetups being hosted by the likes of Surgeon Simulator 2013 developer Bossa Studios and Inition on a regular basis. Now a new VR Meetup has joined the group, and it’s looking to focus on indie developers, showcasing their content for anyone to come and try out.

The London Indie Game Developers VR Night will run on 19th June 2014 at the London Game Space in the Scenario Bar in Stroke Newington Road. The event kicks off at 19:00 BST, running until 22:30. Just about anyone is welcome to come along and try out some of the latest VR software, including the chance to use an Oculus Rift VR headset. Developers can also get in touch with event organisers about showing off their own work.

So far the event’s roster includes the likes of David Evans from Playcanvas, who will be looking at making videogames in VR. Joining him is Private Eye‘s Jake Slack, AlterGaze wireless headset creator Liviu Antoni, LizzE lead developer Daniel Wiedemann and Two Big Ears’ Abesh Thakur, looking at audio solutions in VR.

The event is part of London Technology Week running from 16th – 20th June. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR events and keep you up to date with the latest.
