Those of us who want to see it all on WrestleMania Sunday are in for a long day on April 6th. WrestleMania XXX will air live on WWE Network and Pay-Per-View starting at 6pm CT and will last for four hours, which has been the run-time of WrestleMania the past several years. However, instead of the usual 30-minute pre-show, WWE today announced that WrestleMania festivities will kick off at 4pm CT with a live two-hour pre-show.
The first hour of the WrestleMania XXX pre-show features analysis of the WrestleMania XXX card from a panel of WWE Superstars past and present, along with “on-the-scene” interviews featuring Superstars preparing to for WrestleMania. The first half of the WrestleMania XXX pre-show can be viewed on WWE.com, the WWE App, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pheed.
The second hour of the pre-show continues exclusively on WWE Network, where the panel will continue to analyze the WrestleMania lineup. The second hour will also feature an exclusive live pre-show match.
From the wording, it would appear that only the second hour of the pre-show will be available on the Network, which seems odd to me. I can see not having the second hour available on YouTube, Facebook, and all the other places, but I don’t see the logic in not having the first hour on the WWE Network when it will be available on WWE.com and the WWE App. Seems pointless and a waste of an additional hour to stress test the live stream.
The WrestleMania XXX card is looking pretty strong at the moment:
WWE World Heavyweight champion Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. TBA.
Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H for the final slot in the WWE World championship match.
Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar.
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt.
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal featuring WWE Intercontinental chapion Big E, Cesaro, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Fandango, Christian, Dolph Ziggler,Big Show, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Rey Mysterio, Titus O’Neil Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Mark Henry, Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal, The Miz and 10 more to be named.
WWE Tag Team champions The Usos vs. TBA.
Of course WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan will be the guest host of WrestleMania XXX. Speaking of the Hall of Fame, the entire Hall of Fame ceremony will air live and in its entirety on WWE Network on April 5th, so do tune into that if you have WWE Network (and you should) to see Ultimate Warrior, Jake Roberts, Lita, Paul Bearer, Mr. T, and Carlos Colon be inducted. It is speculated that WWE will announce Scott Hall as the final member of the Class of 2014 on next week’s RAW.
