Just months before the Assam Assembly poll more than 800 PCDR and BJP members joined the ruling Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF) party in Bodoland Territorial Area District (BTAD) on Thursday in Kokrajhar.
To welcome the newly joined members a function was held at Serfanguri ME School ground on Thursday, where Ex minister and MLA Pramila Rani Brahma, MLA Pradip Kumar Brahma, Ex BTC executive member and Kokrajhar district BPF prsident Derhasat Basumatary, party leader Rajendra Nath Brahma welcomed and felicitated the newly joined members from PCDR and BJP with traditional Aronai and offered party membership forms formally.
Ex minister Brahma addressed the function and said that her party always works for the social development, welfare of the citizens and equal distribution of rights among the society. She further added that her party will win large numbers of seats in the upcoming election as well. She has asked all the party activist to be dedicated while working for the party.
MLA Pradip Kumar Brahma stated that his party has been working for the all round development and welfare of the common people and bringing about social change in the region. He also expressed his optimism stating that his party is growing stronger with the common people stepping forward to support BPF party in the region.
The function was chaired by president of Dotma block BPF, Sangkharlal Brahma.
President of BPF women wing Jamuna Rani Brahma, secretary of Kokrajhar district committee of BPF Simsan Mushahary and senior party members were also present in the function. Read more…
