Dhaka University authority will distribute academic costumes among the intending participants of the university’s 50th convocation between 28 February and 2 March as convocation will be held on 4 March.

The intending participants will have to collect their costumes from Arts Faculty Building, Science Cafeteria (Curzon Hall), Business Studies Faculty Building, Social Sciences Faculty Building, Teacher-Student Centre and Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban from 10am to 4pm, a press release said on Thursday.

The costumes will have to be returned after the completion of the convocation.

Graduates of different departments under Arts Faculty and Institute of Modern Languages will have to collect their costumes from Arts Faculty Bhaban.

Science, Law, Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Earth and Environmental Sciences and Engineering and Technology faculties, Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, Institute of Statistical Research and Training, Institute of Information Technology, Institute of Energy, Institute of Leather Engineering and Technology, Homeopathic and Ayurbedik and Unani Colleges’ graduates will have to collect their convocation gown from Science Cafeteria on the premises of Curzon Hall.

Faculty of Business Studies and Institute of Business Administration disciplines’ graduates will have to collect their costumes from Faculty of Business Studies Faculty Bhaban.

Social Sciences and Fine Arts Faculty, Institute of Social Welfare and Research, Institute of Health Economics and Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability, School of Bank Management and Civil Service College graduates will have to collect from Social Science Faculty Bhaban.

Institute of Education and Research, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Postgraduate Medical Sciences & Research, Home Economics Colleges’ graduates and MPhil, PhD and awardees will have to collect their costumes from Teacher-Student Centre.

Intending participants will have to be present at Curzon Hall Mall at 2.30pm on 3 March to attend the Convocation Rehearsal.

The 50th Convocation will be held on 4 March at the university’s central playground.
