Police say they suspect the victim might have been murdered
A Satkhira unit leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has been found dead at a fish farm in the sadar upazila.
Police say they suspect Md Hasibul Hasan Emon, 25, might have been strangled to death.
Emon was the joint general secretary of the district’s BCL unit, student front of the ruling Awami League.
Two suspects have been detained for questioning.
Firoz Hossain Mollah, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, named the suspects as Murad and Biplob, both associates of Emon.
Police recovered Emon’s body around 11am on Tuesday and sent it to the sadar hospital for a post-mortem examination.
