*This is a sponsored review and giveaway on behalf of Brown Owl Kids*

My little guy is turning two this week and his toy stash is getting a major overhaul.  So long baby toys… we’re moving onto more exciting things, like the fun ride-on Animal Hopper from Brown Owl Kids.  I remember my elementary school having hoppers when I was a kid and I just couldn’t get enough of them!  Most days, I hopped away my entire recess.  So, when Brown Owl Kids offered to send my sweet Wubba his very own hopper I couldn’t pass it up - especially once I saw how ridiculously adorable they are.

I chose “Carlos the Frog” for my little one, but “Rocky the Elephant” is equally cute.  As you can see in the photo above, when you receive your hopper, you’ll get the hopper itself (deflated) and a removable and washable felt cover. Inflating the hopper is really easy as long as you have a pump.  Just remove the little white plug and pump it up.  Then, pull the cloth animal over the inflated ball, placing the handles through the designated holes.

I checked out the Brown Owl Kids’ website and video demonstration prior to receiving our animal hopper, and noticed that the kids were a bit older than my little one.  The recommended age for the hopper is 18 months to 5 years old, but the kids on the website looked a bit more mature and taller than my 34 inch tall {almost} 2 year old.  I wanted to make sure that the Wubba would be able to use his hopper right away, so I simply didn’t inflate the hopper all the way to ensure he’d be able to reach the ground while sitting on it.  As you can see above, Carlos is just a tad under-inflated, but he’s pretty much perfect for the Wubba. When fully inflated, the Animal Hopper measures 17 inches from the base the top of the easy grip handles, and ours is measuring about 16 inches in these photos.

I love the easy grip handles on the hopper.  They have these great ridges and the rubbery material makes them non-slip and easy to hold onto.  Isn’t Carlos’s face super cute?!  He’s also soft and cuddly which my little guy really seems to like.

Please excuse the blur going on in these photos – the Wubba was hopping!  He’s really been enjoying sitting on Carlos and hopping – then dramatically sliding off the back onto his butt.  It’s a fun little game he’s invented and he thinks he’s the funniest person in the world while doing it.  He doesn’t quite have the dexterity to hop forward yet, but he’s getting there.  I tried to sit on Carlos to demonstrate how to hop forward and side to side and it made me wish they made these in adult sizes – it’s a killer leg workout!  It also makes me love this toy even more since it’s encouraging physical activity.

I love that this durable hopper can transition from indoor to outdoors and that the cover is washable – that’s always a must when you’re dealing with messy toddlers and small children. Overall, we give the Brown Owl Kids Animal Hopper a thumbs up!  At only $39.99, this toy promises a lot of entertainment and physical activity for years to come.
