A Health and Wellness Social Media Startup in the San Francisco, California area has an opening for a Remote Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer. The Candidate will build an innovative SaaS service in the hot cloud-based health & wellness sector focused on using technology to improve the quality of care of wellness providers and improving patient care.
Requirements:
Experience in building well-architected, scalable web applications with a focus on superior user experience
Experience in Ruby on Rails, unit testing, and automated integration testing a huge plus
Experience working in Agile teams (scrum, story writing, sprints, estimation)
Strong communication skills
Working knowledge of, or interest in, Amazon S3, EC2, and new server technologies & architectures
Leadership experience with strong track record of successful engineering efforts a big plus
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years real world experience developing sophisticated web applications
