Allergen Control Group welcomes BSI, Integrity Compliance Solutions and Approach Advisory Board Specialists.

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) April 14, 2016

The Allergen Control Group, owners of the Gluten-Free Certification Program, is excited to announce their expansion into the Asia Pacific market as they continue to strive to grow market share and brand recognition worldwide. The mission of the GFCP is to become the leading global authority for developing and delivering industry based “free from” programs designed to ensure product safety, which creates trust and ultimately enhances the quality of life for consumers. Currently, the GFCP is the leading science-based certification program for brand owners and their manufacturers wishing to make a safe and reliable gluten-free product claim.

To support this growth, ACG President Paul Valder travelled to Australia in February to welcome BSI as a newly trained and approved third-party auditing and certification company. BSI will help aid the program’s goal to expand in the Asia-Pacific marketplace and grow the number of gluten-free brands permitted to display the GFCP trademarks on their company’s gluten-free product packaging.

“As a trusted supplier of food safety and quality training courses, BSI welcomes the opportunity to expand their capabilities, in order to better serve the food industry” says Todd Redwood, Director- Food, BSI Asia Pacific. “With its Food Centre of Excellence based in Australia, BSI will help support the program’s goal to expand in the Asia Pacific as well as global marketplace.” This collaboration is a natural fit for BSI and ACG, who both share a common interest in managing risk and meeting legal requirements in the food industry.

In addition to gaining membership with the Allergen Bureau and Australian Food and Grocery Council’s Allergen Forum, while in Australia, ACG also had the opportunity to onboard two new GFCP Authorized Training Services Providers.
