Bijou Telephone Co-op (netecin.net) has begun its roll-out of fiber-optic lines, offering faster and more reliable internet and phone service to Deer Trail, Colorado homes.

Byers, CO (PRWEB) January 18, 2015

Deer Trail is the first of many Colorado towns in Arapahoe County that Bijou Telephone Co-Op will be servicing with their fiber-optic lines. Fiber-optic lines are strands of optically pure glass as thin as a human hair that can carry digital information over long distances. Because optical fibers are thinner than copper wires, more fibers can be bundled into a given-diameter cable than copper wires. This allows more phone lines to go over the same cable or more channels to come through the cable into one’s cable television box, allowing for less signal degradation and more reliable signals and internet speed.

Bijou Telephone Co-op’s General Manager, Brian Creveling, said, “This is a big step for our area. Our customers are already feeling the difference in their internet speeds and reliability, across the board. We are focusing on Deer Trail for the launch and will continue to move out into other towns over the next year or so.”

Bijou Telephone Co-op offers high speed DSL in Deer Trail and Byers and high speed wireless in Limon, Strasburg, Bennett and Watkins. A phone line is not required for the high speed wireless internet service. Please call 303-822-5400 for a free site check to see if service is available.
