American Pavilion is pleased to announce their participation in the nationally acclaimed March Madness Basketball Tournament, by contributing a massive 15,000 sq. ft. tent to host after event festivities.

(PRWEB) April 07, 2015

With an attendance of over 150,000 people, all eyes were on March Madness and the Final Four Basketball tournament. To continue the festivities, American Pavilion was hired to provide a 15,000 square foot tent to host the massive number of fans that poured out of the stadium and into the downtown Indianapolis area.

The tent itself, called a Losberger clearspan tent, was located less than a block from the basketball arena for convenient access. It was floored, lined with seating all around, equipped with a stage for speakers and concerts, and requisite lighting, all behind 6 classic glass entry doors for this high-end event.

While the finished tent was impressive to behold, installation of the clearspan tent was no easy task. The clearspan tent was assembled on a parking lot that was built over the foundation of an old demolished building. This made installing the steel plates and anchors that secure the tent much more difficult because of the many layers of brick, concrete, and asphalt that needed to be drilled through to properly secure each plate. In fact, the American Pavilion crew had to use the same type of drilling tool used for underground mining to complete the set up.

Not only that, the team had to also work around a parking booth, an ATM, power meters, and light poles scattered across the parking lot. A crew of 8 installers worked 3 days to complete the project.

Installing a large clearspan tent in the downtown area of a major U.S. city is always fraught with challenges, but American Pavilion was able to rise to the occasion. “It was a difficult installation due to the underground obstacles of staking the tent, but my crew worked 12 hour days to ensure that the project was completed on time and to my client’s satisfaction” said Tom Wodetzki co-owner of American Pavilion.

Clearspan tents are manufactured with an aluminum frame and covered with heavy duty, flame resistant vinyl. Unlike many traditional large tents, clearspan tents require no interior poles or supports which allows flooring, staging, seating etc, to be placed anywhere within the tent. Losberger clearspan tents are also engineered to meet building code requirements in all states, can sustain 90 mph wind gusts, and are the most weather resistant tent available.

American Pavilion is a leader in the tent rental and special event business with one of the largest inventories of tents in the country. American Pavilion is owned and operated by the fourth generation of the founding family, and travels nationwide installing tents for corporate events, special events, sporting events, concerts, construction projects, trade shows, etc. American Pavilion have been committed to excellence since 1902!
