Tributes have been pouring in for the singer Aretha Franklin, who has died at the age of 76.
American civil rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson was an old friend of Franklin’s and spoke of his “tough goodbye” to the Queen of Soul.
Fans of the late singer gathered outside the Apollo theatre in New York on Thursday, where they shared their sadness on hearing the news.
