SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP/WJLA) - About 40 high school students were evacuated Wednesday morning from a Montgomery County school bus after an engine fire.
Montgomery County Public Schools spokesman Dana Tofig said there were no injuries as a result of the fire, which happened around 7 a.m. at Briggs Chaney Road and Great Oak Lane in Silver Spring.
He said the students were taken off the bus very quickly and put onto another one. The students attend James Hubert Blake High School, which is where the bus was headed at the time the fire broke out.
