WALDORF, Md. (WJLA) - A Heat Advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. for the D.C. metro and all along the I-95 corridor Tuesday.
All residents are advised to take additional precautions if you work or spend time outside. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.
Several public buildings in Maryland will be open for us as cooling centers for resident, including:

Residents requiring transportation to any cooling center should contact the Department of Aging
and Disabilities during normal business hours at 410-222-0022.
All centers are accessible, air-conditioned and have water and restroom facilities. Medical care is
not available and anyone experiencing or observing a medical emergency should call 911. Pets
are not allowed in any cooling centers. Accommodations will be made for service animals
