Hi All,

 

I was with Orange for many years and switched to a sim-only Virgin VIP deal 2 weeks ago. I had my handset unlocked by Orange and was told my old number would port across to Virgin first thing today.

 

After following the instructions provided, I can receive texts and calls but cannot make any calls or use any apps / internet despite showing a 3G signal. I can only use internet etc via my home wi-fi.

 

Every time I dial 789 to seek some support, I get the message "Sorry the system is busy, please try again later" and as I have no land-line cannot contact Virgin to try and resolve this.

 

Have tried repeatedly switching the phone on and off throughout the evening, connecting to ITunes and manually switching to the orange network, all with no effect.

 

Really need my phone this weekend - has anyone suffered the same issue?

 

Virgin Team - Desperate for any advice on why this may have happened and how to fix?!
