The first thing you should know about Fiji nightlife is that Fiji is not really a party destination. It is more of an earthly paradise where you come to enjoy the sun, the ocean and the peace. That being said, if you look hard enough, you will also find quite a few places to party your nights away.

In case you are not staying on the main island of Viti Levu, you will pretty much be limited to the fun your resort has organized for you. Most smaller islands do not have their own nightlife spots. One exception is the Beachcomber Island which is part of the Mamanuca Islands. There, you will find a place called the Barefoot Bar where a DJ spins every night and where parties get pretty wild.

On the main island of Viti Levu, there are two areas that are famed for their nightlife – Suva and Nadi. Suva is famous for its many bars, especially near the Victoria Parade. Some of the places you have to check out in Suva include Purple Haze, Trap Bar, Bad Dog Café, Signals Nightclub and O’Reilly’s.

Nadi is a more laid-back type of nightlife area, with Ed’s being the most popular bar by far. It’s a truly easy-going place with cheap beers and great live music. Just across the street, you will find Frequency Lounge, a rather popular club also. If you do not want to go back to our hotel, head out to the Ice Bar as it is the last place in Fiji to close.
