The poor and underprivileged people of society can often be seen neglected and abandoned as they find it difficult to make both ends meet. In these trying times however there is a shimmering beacon of hope for them by the name of Khana Ghar.

The selfless initiative started by Parveen Saeed over a decade ago helps feed the poor for only Rs. 3 per meal and instills in them the principles of hard work and integrity as they toil to earn Rs.3 for a meal.

Khana Ghar feeds almost 1500 people every day with five kitchens located across Karachi at  Khuda ki Basti, Lyari, Ajmer Nagri, Nooruddin Goth and Korangi and all managed and run by volunteers who share Parveen Saeed’s passion, love and vision to help the needy in Karachi who need it the most.

Parveen Saeed’s “Khana Ghar” and its selfless goal to feed the poor of Karachi is another perfect example of the ultimate humanitarian efforts and sacrifice of Pakistanis for Pakistanis for no individual or personal gain.
