A Viggle “day” is 12am-11:59pm. Adjust for your time zone.
We assume the DirecTV Cinema movies are the same rule of thumb.
If you check in at 5pm PT, and it won’t recognize, or doesn’t give you a bonus, then the logic might be that you’d wait until 8pm your local time. We’re east coast, so it’s hard to say.
Vigglers, if anyone has an answer to this, from another time zone, let us know. Anon - we’ll edit this entry w/ anything we hear.
From one user: To answer the question about the DirectTV movie check-ins, We live in the Mountain Time Zone and have successfully checked into movies at just after 6:00pm MT so that would suggest that Viggle basis it off of Eastern time zone not local time zone. This also makes sense as they explicitly note the time zone in the 8:00pm-2:00am Eastern description
From another user: As for the Directv pay-per-view movie bonuses, I’ve checked in before 8pm Pacific and have always received the bonus points. So it seems Viggle goes by EST for these movies. Not to say that it won’t change but the last 4 or 5 weeks it’s worked for me.
