It is numbered at 9th in the Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) of the state of Uttarakhand. This constituency has been classified as the SC category seat. The candidate of BJP, Bhim Lal Arya won it in the 2012 Vidhan Sabha Chunav with more than 15 thousand votes. In the 2017 Legislative Assembly poll, various political leaders are testing their luck. This time the ruling party Congress has batted Bhim Lal Arya who had been BJP MLA earlier. On the other hand, the strongest opposition party, BJP has chosen Shri Shakti Lal Shah as its candidate. It is numbered at 10th in the Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) of the state of Uttarakhand. The candidate of INC, Mantri Prasad Naithani won it in the 2012 Vidhan Sabha Chunav with more than 15 thousand votes. In the 2017 Legislative Assembly poll, various political leaders are testing their luck. This time the ruling party Congress has batted Mantri Prasad Naithani again. On the other hand, the strongest opposition party, BJP has chosen Shri Vinod Kandhari as its candidate. BSP has fielded Gauri Shankar Sharma for the poll.
