There are a ton of amazing gifts that you can get for the book nerd in your life this year. I decided to list some of my favorites, in case you’re looking for ideas.

Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone: The Illustrated Edition

For the first time, J.K. Rowling’s beloved Harry Potter books will be presented in lavishly illustrated full-color editions. Kate Greenaway-award-winning artist Jim Kay has created over 100 stunning illustrations, making this deluxe format a perfect gift as much for a child being introduced to the series, as for the dedicated fan.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

This beauty of a book just released last month and it’s been out of stock on Amazon ever since. You might be lucky to snag on at a local bookstore or at a Barnes and Noble, so if you can, I’d buy it right away. Whether or a Harry Potter fan or not, just having this gorgeous book on the coffee table will surely be a hit/conversation starter. I want this book SO bad, but I guess I’ll have to be patient and wait for Amazon to restock it.

Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined

Celebrate the tenth anniversary of Twilight with this special double-feature book! This new edition pairs the classic love story with Stephenie Meyer’s bold and surprising reimagining of the complete novel with the characters’ genders reversed. In Life and Death, readers will be thrilled to experience this iconic tale told through the eyes of a human teenage boy in love with a female vampire. Packaged as an oversize, jacketed hardcover “flip book,” this edition features nearly 400 pages of new content as well as exquisite new cover art. Fans of Bella and Edward will not want to miss the opportunity to see these iconic characters portrayed in intriguing new roles.

Twilight has enraptured millions of readers since its first publication in 2005 and has become a modern classic, redefining genres within young adult literature and inspiring a phenomenon that has had readers yearning for more. The novel was a #1 New York Times bestseller, a #1 USA Today bestseller, a Time magazine Best Young Adult Book of All-Time, an NPR Best Ever Teen Novel, and a New York Times Editor’s Choice. The Twilight Saga, which also includes New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella, and The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide, has sold nearly 155 million copies worldwide.

If you’re a Twilight fan, you might have already grabbed this surprise release or you might have it on your list. Despite the varied reviews, I think it’s a good idea for anyone who is a fan to give it a read and see how different the book is from this perspective. If anything, it’ll be nice to add it to my collection.

Put Me in the Story Children’s Books
For the little reader in your life, I simply can’t recommend a book from Put Me in the Story enough. I received three books from them recently, a couple of Peanuts books and a Christmas-themed book, and I am so in love. Not only are the books cute and the stories engaging and entertaining to kids, I love how much personalization you can put in each book. They have so many different kinds of books that will appeal to everyone, from Dora the Explorer to Disney’s Frozen, you’re sure to find the perfect book.

Uppercase Box
Of all the book subscription boxes I’ve been paying attention to over the last year or so, UC still remains my favorite. Sure, there are certain items I’ve seen in other boxes that I like or books from other boxes I think would be cool to read, but UC is the only one I’ve consistently liked. Granted there have been a couple books I’ve received that I haven’t read so I can’t judge, but of the other books I’ve gotten in the past, I’ve enjoyed them. Also, when it comes to bookish items, UC may not have a lot most of the time, they have good, solid products that I really like. I love for each item varies, of course, but for the most part, I’ve been very pleased. Not to mention, the price is pretty competitive compared to other boxes, so I’m sticking with this subscription. If you love subscription boxes and books (or know someone who does), then this will make a great gift that will last beyond Christmas.

Magnetic Bookmarks
Magnetic bookmarks are all the rage this year, especially those from Etsy. Not only are the designs unique to each designer, but they’re usually super cute and you can even order custom-made bookmarks. They’re all reasonably priced and I think would make awesome stocking stuffers for the bookworm in your life. I seriously have an addiction when it comes to those bookmarks and I just want to collect them all.

Two of my favorites (that I’ve purchased multiple bookmarks from) are Craftedvan and HappyHelloCo.

So, what do you think of the list? Any of the items strike your fancy? Any of them already on your list/in your possession?
