Last week Thomson Reuters released the 2013 edition of the Journal Citation Reports. The JCR database allows one to assess the relative impact of individual journal titles, also referred to as Impact Factors. This formidable tool and the ranking system is based on the number of times a given journal article is cited over the period of previous two years. The latest edition of the Journal Citation Reports includes:

10,853 journal listings in 232 disciplines

Representation of 83 countries

379 journals receiving their first Journal Impact Factor

Versita is pleased to announce that three of its journals have been selected for the first time to be included in the current Journal Citation Report:

Central European Journal of Geosciences

Translational Neurosciences (0.482)

Autex Research Journal (0.405)

For 30 other Versita journals, the JCR report records the second consecutive increase in Impact Factor. We congratulate the editors of the journals in question and wish them further success in the future.
