When you went shopping this past weekend, did you notice that every store seemed to be getting out their Christmas decorations?

All of their scarecrows and skull decorations have gone into the clearance bin and everywhere you looked, you saw nothing but sparkly tinsel and snowmen. If you’re really lucky, you might have even heard a faint Christmas carol in the distance. What? It’s already October and you haven’t gotten your Christmas tree yet?

You might be asking, “But what about Thanksgiving?” oh, you mean Black Friday (that is slowly becoming Black Thursday)?  Ha. What about HALLOWEEN?!

Halloween is clearly the best holiday of all time with autumn leaves in the air, It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and witches flying across the sky. Why are people so anxious to skip over this and jump right to celebrating the colder months? October is the perfect month to begin with, not too cold and not too warm (i.e. sweater weather) and once you add apple cider, black cats and everything pumpkin, it only gets better.

Oh, there it is: Pumpkin. Everything pumpkin. Basically everything you can see, eat and smell becomes pumpkin colored, flavored and scented. But what about pumpkins in their purest form and carving them? It seems as though the world has gotten so excited over Pumpkin Spice Lattes that we’ve forgotten that carving pumpkins is the true meaning of Halloween.

No worries, I’m here to save the day. I’m going to roll up my sleeves and dig deep into the world of Pinterest and find you the best pumpkin carving and decorations. Once you’re done trying these state of the art ideas, you’ll be able to sit back and relax and look at them with your PSL in your hand.

Everyone knows this classic. It’s just a simple face on a cute pumpkin. Not too hard. Beginners and pro-pumpkin carvers can go for this look.

2. Trick or Too Much Treat

Remember that Halloween in fifth grade when you told your mom you were old enough to know when you’ve had too much of your candy and you ended up eating your entire bag and you got sick later that night? This pumpkin is here to recreate that memory for you.

3. Pumpkin Minis

Have a love for the mini pumpkins or do you only ever have enough money to buy the little ones? Do you actually do anything with them or do you just arrange them in a cute way on your dinner table? Here’s an alternative. Just paint them into something cute, such as mini M&Ms or donuts!
