VB EVENT:

Mobile tech has changed the world of marketing faster than any other technology. It’s catapulted an already-complex digital playing field into a fast-firing game where the rules seem to change by the second.

It’s sort of like kids — as soon as you feel you’ve mastered one stage and are feeling in control (sort of), they morph in front of your eyes. So if you feel you’re in a state of perpetual catch-up in the mobile space, you’re not alone.

It’s why the Mobile Summit has become one of the most valuable annual events for senior exec’s faced with a mobile-first world. Some 180 leading executives will convene at the intimate setting of Cavallo Point (just north of the Golden Gate Bridge) and demystify the most essential issues and challenges around achieving growth on mobile. Together, we’ll share the most current knowledge and practices from those on the leading edge.

(It’s an invite-only event for senior-level brand and tech executives: if you’re interested in applying, click here.)

This year’s themes are the ones that keep you up at night (just like kids, to continue the analogy): business growth (UA, LTV, ROI, attribution); omnichannel marketing (managing, attributing, adapting); data and analytics; ad tech strategies; and more.

The six intimate workshops, where all executives participate, lie at the heart of the event. This is where executives push the debate forward by drawing on their industry experience. We shun the speaker/attendee dichotomy that you see at most events.

That’s not to say we won’t hear talks from inspiring leaders: We have a line-up that includes visionaries from Google, Foursquare, Funny or Die, Parse Facebook, Hilton, Zillow, Kellogg, Kik, and more. They’ll take the form of short 20-minute unscripted interviews: quick-fire sessions that give attendees food for thought to take back to the working sessions.

Here are some of the fireside chats we’re pretty pumped about:

Ilya Sukhar, CEO, of Facebook’s Parse property shares insights on what’s coming next in mobile app development and the need to embrace quick experimentation.

Gregg Colvin, COO, UniversalMcCann and Samir Addamine, CEO, FollowAnalytics talk about critical metrics essential for brand success on mobile.

Patrick Starzan, VP of Marketing, Funny or Die; Chris Best, CTO and co-founder, Kik; and Nikhil Sethi, Co-Founder and CEO, Adaptly talk about the messaging craze, and how platforms like Kik, Snapchat, and WeChat are captivating mindshare, and poised to grab a nice share of the wallet.

Joe Megibow, Chief Digital Officer, American Eagle and Mollie Spilman, CRO, Criteo talk about the urgent need for a unified view of customers; and techniques for attribution that are essential to successful campaigns.

Steven Rosenblatt, CRO, Foursquare and Kamakshi Sivaramakrishnan, CEO, Drawbridge talk about the latest strategies on tracking identities of mobile users across screens and sessions.

Steve Holmes, Head of New Devices for Intel will talk about where the wearables landscape is headed, which industries will be impacted the fastest, and what it means for marketing.

The Mobile Summit is taking place February 23 and 24 at Cavallo Point Lodge just north of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. Fill out an application to attend.
