Calling all sales and business development leaders: Sales intelligence software startup SalesLoft is bringing more than 200 influencers, visionaries, and sales development practitioners together for its inaugural Rainmaker conference, scheduled for Jan. 13-14.
Hosted by the W Hotel in Buckhead, the two-day event is being described as a sales and business development leadership summit for “the movers, the shakers and inside sales rainmakers.” SalesLoft is calling Rainmaker the first event of its kind and says it is inspired by many of the concepts first introduced by author Aaron Ross in his award-winning book “Predictable Revenue,” published in 2011.
“Many companies still believe in and practice a full-cycle sales strategy, where the account executive does everything from prospecting, to lead generation, to cold calling, to setting up the appointments and closing the deals,” said Anthony Zhang, director of sales for SalesLoft. “[Sales development] is certainly not an easy process to create, or an easy team to build. The Rainmaker event is geared towards the training, coaching, practices and thought leadership behind sales development.”
The agenda promises a variety of workshops, breakouts, leadership training and coaching sessions and networking opportunities. Participants will get to choose from three tracks: Case Studies, Influencers and Hands-On Training, and the event will also feature product demos from Insightpool, The ROI Shop, Knowledge Tree and others.
This year’s agenda also features a keynote lineup that includes Pardot founder David Cummings, Rivalry CEO Jon Birdsong, WhatCounts CEO Allen Nance and VorsightBP founder Steve Richard. Topics will include tips for better inbound lead conversion, a closer look at emerging trends in the sales industry and the future of sales development.
SalesLoft is expecting more than 200 sales development professionals to attend Rainmaker and have designed the conference with a national scope in mind. Marketing executives from Salesforce.com, Zendesk and TOPO will be on hand to answer questions and offer their insights into the current sales and business development landscape.
Registration for the inaugural Rainmaker conference is now open.
